Es uno de los temas que mas me gusta de Whitney Houston, para mi es una de las mas grandes voces femeninas, ninguna cantanta actual se le compara, que pena que muriera aun joven,y en condiciones tan lamentables, pero su musica vivira por siempre.

Even here her voice had so much more clarity than when she did the vocals for the Bodyguard just a few short years later....

She had a very bad sinus infection or something like that during the S. Oly. She's still gave it her best as always.

There was some emotion she put in this live version that eclipses any other live I've heard. I'm not saying it was the best live version of DWAHIA, but just listen to the bridge and how she sang. It transcends beyond "music on a page"...or her apparent sickness during this event.I love you Whitney.

She was such an intelligent singer with an incredible ability to ad lib and rearrange the melody at whim.

Simple answer here as a singer ,myself. You wake in the morning and each day Your voice is slightly diff. some days its totally on form. high notes. trills. etc no effort at all. other times its slightly lower. cant get top notes. can be tiredness. wear and tear. or just because that day it isn't happening. either way Whitney sounded incredible on a day she couldn't hit the high notes as much as when she could. Also most singers find their voice better in the evenings. Your voice "settles" as the day moves on so by evening its usually your best time. but again tiredness can affect this.

I love Whitney! Sounds like she wasn't able to get connected here so she was shying away from the high notes. Now think...if it happens to the best singers in the world....how much more are the average vocalists susceptible to that?

@3:15 "Didn't we have..the best of times..when love was young and new!!!" Not the highest and most perfect delivery of that line she's ever done, but it is so emotional and sends chills down my spine.
