MUSIC: Richard Rodgers / LYRICS: Oscar Hammerstein II

Impossible! For a plain yellow pumpkin

To become a golden carriage

Impossible! For a plain country bumpkin

And a prince to join in marriage

And four white mice will never be four white horses

Such folderol and fiddle-dee-dee of course is

Impossible!

But the world is full of zanies and fools

Who don't believe in sensible rules

And won't believe what sensible people say

And because these daft and dewy-eyed dopes

Keep building up impossible hopes

Impossible things are happening every day

Impossible!....

It's possible! For a plain yellow pumpkin

To become a golden carriage

It's possible! For a plain country bumpkin

And a prince to join in marriage

And four white mice are easily turned to horses

Such folderol and fiddle-dee-dee of course is

Quite possible! It's possible!

For the world is full of zanies and fools

Who don't believe in sensible rules

And won't believe what sensible people say

And because these daft and dewy-eyed dopes

Keep building up impossible hopes

Impossible things are happening every day

It's possible!....

****************************************************************

Cinderella (Brandy) and her Fairy Godmother (Whitney Houston) sing "Impossible/ It's Possible," before and after Cinderella's magical transformation, in Disney's 1997 remake of "Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella" (previously produced for TV in 1957 (starring Julie Andrews) and 1965 (starring Lesley Ann Warren)). I have edited out the dialogue in the middle so that the complete song can be heard without interruption.

Its a pitty she didnt sing songs like that, from various musicals, classical songs, or even maybe record some of the songs of garland, streisand, etc. her voice has a magical quality that would be most pleasant and give new meaning to the classics....

Houston's voice became more nasal and breathy. She kept on belting as she always did but her resources had diminished and the shine was gone. So sad when you think of what these songs would have sounded like if she had taken better care of her voice and worked on the mix instead of continuous pushing.

I had forgotten all about this movie. After watching the video ''Whitney and Brandy Behind the Scenes'' I now fully understand how much Whitney Houston meant to Brandy. They really had a great relationship. Whitney's voice still gives me the ''goosies'' even now. That's why she was nicknamed ''The Voice''.

TV sucks so much these days. They used to have these types of musicals and movies on abc Sunday night all the time.

Ok heres what I think, yes all Cinderella movies were nice, but this was brilliant and the beautiful, wonderful I have watch so far, nothing gives me the chills and the tickles as this movie, very inspiring again very beautiful vid, I just watch it the other day on tv, and it brought me to remembrance back when I was growing up in Jamaica as a child, and this deeply impacted me in a positive light, which shows that when I was down, that it is Possible, to follow my dreams in spite of what anyone says, I love all characters in this movie, they were truly bless by God, just like I am. Everyone it is Possible. Peace !!!!! :-) : D

I like this version of Cinderella. Don't get me wrong, I love the classic Walt Disney Cinderella (40s /50s), but for some reason I like this version of Cinderella, because the late Whitney Houston, Bernadette Peters, Brandy, Whoopi Goldberg etc.

i just saw the new Cinderella film and it is lovely, but the characterisation in Roger's and Hammerstein's version is still so much more enjoyable.
