All the Man I Need Live in Chile - 1994 - Bodyguard Tour.

The entire Chile Concert was one of Whitney Houston's Best Concerts Ever!

She sung amazingly well her Bodyguard Classic Songs, as well as all her older Classics, as this one is a perfect exemple.

(Plus, the Chile versions of "I will always Love you", and "I Have Nothing", are among Whitney's Best performances Ever!) At her prime, Whitney was something Out of this World!

PS - (I re-uploaded this performance, because I discovered that the previous upload could no longer be found)

Thank you for watching!

This was around the time she needed surgery to remove polyps from her vocal chords/throat. I think this is merely her attempt to not injure herself more by "singing a whole through the roof". The drug damage was a distinctive rasp that came much later.

look it's a good performance, but does show that by this time her voice was well and truly declining. Compare it to 1990-1 versions of this song

She's still my favorite singer too. Her voice did get more raspy from I'd say 1994 onward, but she could still sing. Even in Sparkle despite her raspy voice, when considering everything she had gone through with the drugs, it's pretty amazing that she was able to sing at all, and we were still so fortunate to be able to hear that voice.

@pulchritude. Hardheaded:). Yes she was, she did things her way. However it's amazing and so beautiful that she has been told about her VOICE, that she needs to rest it, but she was so thoughtful toward others. She concerned herself with her band's finances. Just really awesome individual we lost. Less concern about her Voice, and more concern for her band. WOW!

Yes, more like the damage was gradual from the 80s to the mid90s. You could hear her voice getting darker in her live performances in 1991 (e.g. Live at Billboard & Awards Acceptance and Welcome Home Heroes). From this time onward, her voice had taken on a dark timbre, yet very powerful. However, her voice became weak in 1995-2001. After that, there were more bad singing days than good ones. But I admire Whitney not just for her range but for her unmatched vocal skill and elegance.
