George sounds terrified on this session, his voice is all over the place . George was not the most talented of the Beatles - the Beatles were four corners of the same square - without one of the corners, the square collapses.They were all very talented but they were never as talented as when they were the four corners of that square .Watch Concert for George - you will see George's songs performed by some amazing musicians - Clapton naturally, but also Albert Lee, Andy Fairweather Low, Billy Preston , Jeff Lynne , Sam Brown and her dad Joe , Jim Keltner , Ray Cooper , Jim Capaldi ,Dave Bronze ( amazing bass) Paul McCartney , Ringo, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers , the list goes on . Now , I hate to say this , but in a live concert situation , these guys just blow George's own performances of his own songs out of the water . Why ? Cause George didn't have the strongest voice when he sang alone and without studio enhancing techniques behind it - and , George didnt enjoy playing live , and it shows !!
