Thank you so much for uploading this. It made my eyes well up. This setting reminds me so much of the two times I got to see Doc & Merle perform at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival when I was a young whippersnapper in the early to mid 1980's. (They had Michael Coleman with them then too.) Following their set the last time I saw them, Merle himself sold me copies of their LPs "Down South" (which was their new one at the time) and "Red Rocking Chair." If I remember correctly, it was just months later that Merle died in that tractor accident. What an awful loss!

RIP the doctor...A couple of years ago wewere at a concert in Cambrige. As we left he came aound the corner and shook our hand. My friend said he wouldn't wash his hand for a week,.."touched by an angel" was his comment.
