What Kind of Move - Brooke Miller Live, Gibson NYC

Brooke and her band here hold an intimate, candlelit performance for industry and press on the site of the legendary Hit Factory recording studio in New York, now home to Gibson guitars.

Because of the "romantic" environment, some lighting and filmic quality were limited. Although the audio was not from a board feed, the stellar acoustics of the studio allowed the wonderful vibe to come through. The performances are self-explanatory. Enjoy!

Kinda interesting to hear a drum kit alone without the congas that drive the studio version. I have to confess that I'm very partial to the earthy warmth of the congas. But you put it together with whoever shows up, and the magic is that every performance is unique. It has the potential to be tasty in its own special way. I do backing vocals sometimes, for example. Sometimes the "ooh"s are the most fun of all! What I wouldn't give to be in on this...
