NOTICE (as of 4/29/2011): @nadiaokjerw has pointed out a big thing with the meaning of these lyrics. Many of you have thought that this was a lesbian-themed song (as I did too). But I had forgotten about an (almost basic) grammatical meaning in the Japanese language. The word "boku", which is used in the choruses (which is an informal pronoun translated as "I" and such-like) is actually only really used by males (and very, very rarely by females). Therefore, this song is actually from the perspective of a man. So, nadiaokjerw, I thank you for the clearing up.

Also I dunno if anybody pointed this out, but isn't "lady" a very loose way to interpret the word "hito"? I was under the impression it was like a very broad term used to refer to a person in general, of either gender. So I'm thinking "kawaii hito" could be taken to mean "a lovely person" or a charming type. It makes sense to me because the use of "boku" in songs sung by females is also supposed to convey a sense of vagueness, since females using the pronoun in everyday speech is on the rise, but is still considered a bit on the eccentric side -- which was even more so the case at the time this song was released, I'm sure.9 years ago

this song was so catchy i remember when it was played in the episode of Teen Titans: Mad Mod and i always turn it up when it comes on and also the Teen Titans theme song which the real Ami and Yumi sang i kinda thought they sang that one song from PPG "I'm a supergirl" but it was some other singer that sounded like them but now I'm surprised that the lyrics in English translation had the word "hell" which i never heard in a kids show but got away with when it was played in Teen Titans and the real Ami and Yumi are currently about in their early 40s while the cartoon Ami and Yumi were teens if I'm not mistaking 9 years ago
