Over 3 decades ago Tom Johnston and Patrick Simmons formed one of the most popular California rock bands of the '70s, The Doobie Brothers. They racked up a string of gold and platinum albums in the U.S., along with a number of radio hits like "Listen to the Music," "Black Water," and "China Grove." With the addition of Skunk Baxter and Michael McDonald in the mid seventies the bands sound began to include more jazz and pop and two more platinum albums followed. We are proud to launch Lexington Lab Band with this very first episode that covers what we believe are 4 of their very best songs - two from each era of their remarkable run. Thanks for listening to the music! - LLB

Great band fellas. Only came across tour music yesterday and have just spent the last two hours listening your tracks. I'm mighty impressed with your covers. Any thoughts in doing anything from the great Aussie outfit The Little River Band, as I see your tightness and vocals would do their music proud. Thanks again for great listening, from an old aussie.

AWESOME vocals ,Awesome musicians! I was 10- 11 y.o. when this was a Top Hit everywhere. Even though I was a kid, there was something in Doobie Brothers music that caught me.....34 years later, I had the chance to see Michael McDonald Live for the first time, He joined Donald Fagen and Boz Scags on a Tour. I must say ,since that night, my admiration for such a great artist has increased. Is not only admiration ,now....is respect and love for his masterful art!

It was fun to follow the Doobies' metamorhosis during the 70's from a hippie biker outfit to a smooooth jazzy band, but I lost interest after Minute By Minute.

Wow, such an amazing cover. I like the modern sound, yet the classic nostalgic feel. I find listening to this cover over the original, with all due respect for the Doobie Brothers.
