Anyway, my question is...what aspects make a "great" rapper "great", and a "bad" rapper "bad"? I mean...what determines, and separates the two polar opposites and keeps them apart? What are the boundaries (if any) between subject matter within a rap, tempo, voice, and tone? I apologize if this makes no sense, and I realize that this question has a few parts to it--but I would greatly appreciate it if someone will be kind enough to take the time to explain some of the theory behind rap to me.
