IMO biased opinion I say the best old skool is 87- 94, techno in it's purest & most unadulterated form (Chicago House, Italio, HI-NRG, Industrial, NewBeat, Acid House, Trance, EuroHouse). But really, 2day's tekno is built & based on yesterday's tekno. U wouldn't believe how much of yesterday's stuff I recognize in 2day's music. The beats, the melodies, basslines, etc.. Popular styles & preferences of how music is played may change, but underneath it all it's still music that influences music.

Wonderful, a real classic from M. Lenz ! "Westfalia Bambaataa" is one of my all-time favourite heroes, as good as Torsten Fenslau (Culture Beat) and Alex Christensen (U 96) ! Great, great, great !! I hope this cool music comes back. At these days, some of the DJs should stop producing such a shit and play or cover THESE superb songs from Westbam or Culture Beat !!
