The drummer in clip is John Chambers: toured with We Five from 1965-67. In addition, he played with such blues greats as Big Mama Thornton and Big Joe Turner as well as such popular local San Francisco rock groups as The Loading Zone, and The Elvin Bishop Group.

Some lyrics missing from the original by Ian Tyson (and Sylvia), never noticed this before. "I got drunk and I got sick and I went home again ...."

Always loved this song- hard to believe it's been a half-century since its release. Bev Bivens sure can sing.

Bob Jones ... the guitar player in the back (left). We went to to high school together (St Louis High School, Honolulu). He was one year ahead of me but we rode the public bus to school together everyday. I never thought he'd make it big in music.

Glorious, youthful energy. If you're young now, go out and be like that. Don't wait.

Wow I'd be ticked off I was the drummer of the band almost constantly out of shot.. He must be a support muso.

Mike Stewart was a genius putting together a group like this. I remember when this song burst on the scene when I was a kid; to think that folk songs like You Were on My Mind could be reworked into folk rock hits that would capture the nation. It seems that the era was a flash in the pan, but what a flash...
