As much as I love Travis Tritt his version doesn't have the raw emotion that Jennings conveys.

When I was a feckless youth of about 20 I was driving out in the country and spotted an old fellow plowing his garden with a mule and bottom plow. I found out later that he and his sons worked their farm with modern tractors and such. He plowed his garden spot with the mule just to keep in touch...He let me take the reins and plow a couple of rows...that plow was EVERYWHERE ..up..down..veering to one side, then the other...He was laughing at me but in a kind way. Plowing with a mule is a LOT harder than it looks.

For those of you who condemn Waylon for his indiscretions, I would have to say: Walk a mile in his shoes! The music business is a "Rough Row to Hoe" as they say, and there are damn few who don't resort to drugs, or alcohol to ease the pain. We have lost a great many artists, from every genre, to those addictions, and it's a sad state of affairs. I met Waylon just a few weeks before he passed, and a more gracious man I've never known.

Love you Waylon you were and still are in my book the GREATEST country music singer the world has ever seen, the country music industry lost a true legend when you passed away and no-one will ever match you or even come close to, you are the best and always will be,your music is very much alive and well with me, will the wolf survive is a great song to. Love you forever Waylon.
