Waylon was the man in my hometown. Everybody knew a Waylon song by heart. He came to play in our town many times. He was just a regular guy and the nicest person one would ever meet.

this is the first song i remember from Waylon.must been around 1972 i was about 14 years old.He got my attention.I got to see him in Louisville,Ky.in early 90's and in Parkers Lake Ky. at Tombstone Jct.where i got to meet him backstage.He and Jessi autographed a guitar and 2 albums for me.He treated me like we had been friends for years.If i lived to be 1,000 years old i would never forget him.Hope to see him again someday.None of the artists today will ever come close to his talent.
