Back in 1965 a neighbor and fellow sailor from Texas had me listen to my 1st Waylon album; he became my all time favorite. In the late 1960's I was stationed in Guantanamo Bay, and the movie Nasville Rebel was played at the base. This song is one of my favorites; I have the album from the movie along with many more CDs and cassettes. I often come back to youtube, and listen for hours of what I deem to be a true country/western artist. Miss you hoss. Pete

I am over 50 and I saw this movie with my dad before or during the 1st grade never forgot it ! It helped me understand my dad trying to make it in the music bussiness .. I'm getting him a copy for Fathers day :)

My Dad, Jim Robinson, co-wrote Silver Ribbons with Peanuts Wilson and Vern Meroney....They wrote it in a motel in Odessa, Texas...Seems like my Mom would run them out of the house for being to noisy...hehe....Dad and Waylon were friends and both born in Littlefield, Texas...as was I....they are both in the Littlefield Museum Hall of Fame...I wish I had the tapes of Dad and Waylon song writing at the kitchen table in Odessa....Great Memories

I am so happy to have found this one, I grew up with this song, one of the few records that my dad owned from 1966. I learned to play and sing to this one but it is so hard to find!!!! Thank you for posting it!!!

Yes, I love him so much, he can look any where he wants to while he sings! I now have the movie "Nashville Rebel". Well worth the money. He was good, even back then.
