"I May Be Used (But Baby I Aint Used Up)" from Waylon Jennings' 'Live From Austin TX' performance. Buy it today on Amazon http://amzn.to/16w8Ma9 or iTunes http://smarturl.it/WaylonLFAT.

Recorded on April 1, 1989 this performance by Waylon Jennings was no April Fools joke. This was the "new" Waylon, both personally and professionally. He had kicked a 20-year drug habit, split with RCA and signed a new deal with MCA Records. He discovered a passion for songwriting, teamed with legendary producer Jimmy Bowen, and produced some of the best work of his 30-year-plus career. This was Waylon's second trip to the ACL stage, but the one that best captures the raw edge and driving urgency that pushed country music way past its Nashville boundaries starting in the mid-1970's.

I used to go to Waylon concerts to hear both Waylon and that great Ralph Mooney. There ain't another two like them...nothing like them ever was and probably never will be again. Great artists!

Texas Musicians just go to Austin because they pay them, their audience is anything but Texan. Texans don't go to Austin.

You're right. This concert was shot in August of '89. I'm not sure, but I guess this was the second time he played at the Austin City Limits, 'cause his first one was in '84. "I may be used, but baby I ain't used up." Man, he could kick ass.

I can't find it right now....but someone posted the 1st song from this Austin City Limits which included the opening credits....I'm *almost* certain that the date was 1989.... BTW, I'm sure there was an earlier Austin City Limit show from 1984....this is what he refers to at the end of this video when he says 'it is good to be back here'.
