"Are You Ready For The Country" from Waylon Jennings' 'Live From Austin TX' performance. Buy it today on Amazon http://amzn.to/16w8Ma9 or iTunes http://smarturl.it/WaylonLFAT.

Waylon never took much to the Outlaw label, although he looked and acted every bit the part. But his insistence on artistic control, recording with his own band, and writing or choosing his own songs blazed a trail for many younger artists to follow. When Hoss hit the stage with The Waylors, it might as well have been midnight in a Texas roadhouse for all anybody could tell.

Arguably, the worst cut on Neil Young's Harvest and still an amazing song, especially performed by Waylon

Waylong did 2 ACL shows - one in '84 and one in '89. This one is from the 1989 performance. Both are phenomenal though I can't recall a bad live show from the man!

As already pointed out, this isn't from '04 since Waylon passed away in February of 2002 (RIP!) and had not been able to walk or stand in concert for a good year or two before that, due to the diabetes. I saw Waylon in concert a number of times and I would venture to say that this is more like 1994, based on his look and voice. (just a guess though). Great song, so much better than the original Neil Young version. Miss ya Hoss, you were one of a kind!

It is actually from '84. I've got the DVD, and it reads '84. It was his performance at the Austin City Limits. Kicked ass on this one.

I dont think that is 84,,,,,,,,Late 80's or early 90's! Look at the picture and the bands dress. And he had aged a bit by the time this was shot.
