This is proof that at one time Jani Lane was a good, if not great singer. Ive seen a few videos from the year he died. His voice wasn't even close to what it once was. Even in the later years of being with Warrant. You could hear the difference in his live performance. All the years of parting caught up with his voice. Still Warrant with Jani Lane is one of my all time favorite bands.

Since you asked: Thrash, speed and doom metal bands used Ibanez guitars, because of them bringing affordable Floyd Rose equipped high gain guitars into the market. Before that it was either expensive guitars like Charvel, Kramer and BC Rich and European custom brands like Rockinger, Hoyer and Vox Humana. A dedicated high quality metal guitar for a reasonably price simply didn't exist until Ibanez released the RG, the S and the Radius.

Why? Metal was getting better and better during that era: Pantera released "Cowboys from hell" and "Vulgar display of power." Judas Priest released "Painkiller" Iron maiden had their career revitalised by releasing "X-factor." Even Kiss started that decade with a KILLER album "Revenge" People tend to forget that there was more going on than just Grunge. Heck Alice In Chains if you truly look at their music were never grunge, they are a metal band.

I knew Warrant because of them appearing in Ibanez Catalogs, not because of ever hearing their music. Hair metal was never as big in Europe as it was in the states. So seeing them play Ibanez instruments is familiar to me.

I love Warrant back in the 80- early 90's but maybe they did not belong at a monsters of rock concert.

Oh Boy, I Love Warrant, and it makes me sad to see the HUGE impact that the Grunge Scene already has had on "Glam" Metal in 1992. Look at the Band and at the lack of excitement in the crowd.
