This is a track from Warner MacPherson's 1965 LP, "The Bridge Washed Out", which was named after his biggest-ever country hit.

The song was written by Johnny Mullins.

In 1979, Emmylou Harris gave the song a gender re-assignment...

...it became "Blue Kentucky GIRL", and was a Top 10 hit, as well as the title of best-selling LP.

If you're familiar with Emmylou's version, I think you'll like this version by Warner, which came along 15 years ealier, and set the standard!

This would be the "Male Version" of Loretta Lynn's hit.

Blue Kentucky Boy was one of my favorites besides his top songs. Could I please request two more song s from this same LP. - Working Girl. I see it posted by someone, but when I play I have to listen to the version by Conway Twtty as well, which I do not like. The other one would be the bggest part of me. Thanks for your kindness in sharing and giving me (and others) the pleasure of enjoying them once again.
