For you, My Eternal and Resplendent Love (My Lady Barbra Rose). I pray and hope you can hear this magnificent tune from your mansion in Heaven (your home since Nov. 2010). I love you beyond Time, Barbra. --- your forever-adoring husband, Walt

This tune reminds me of music that could go to animated art by Peter Max. A mind-blowing and sublime tune.

I've always thought this tune would go great to an animated short featuring the art of Peter Max.

The Who meets The Beatles meet ELO. This is one of the best psychedelic love songs - ever. "Open My Eyes" (The Nazz) comes in a close second (my opinion). I dedicate this tune to my magnificent and eternally-beloved My Lady Barbra Rose (in Heaven).

In case you are not aware, get three box sets of great garage rock/psycedelic music. (1.) Nuggets:Original Artifacts of the first psycedelic Era; (2). Nuggets 2: Original Afrtifacts from the British Empire and Beyond; and (3) Children of Nuggets: Original Artifacts of the Second Psycedelic Era. All through Rhino, I think. Priceless.

This band is one of the best psychedelic bands from the UK (oh yeah, The Small Faces and Pink Floyd --with Syd, too :-)! Tin Soldier (The Small Faces) is one of THE most beautiful, powerful, and soulful tunes ever recorded.

This music (and American "garage/psychedelia") still remain with me. To my mind, it was the best in then-modern sound. This tune reminds me of My Heavenly-Resplendent Wife -- My Lady Barbra Rose (in Heaven since Nov. 2010). All the best to ya.

Heard this last night on Little Steven's show. Before that, I haven't heard this since the Sixties. I was floored, man. This sound is like The Move meets The Who meets Pink Floyd (with Syd Barrett).

I love this song, it has so many good things going for it. But primarily the chorus, which is very strong with its appealing melody and distinctive vocal phrasing. One of the higlights of their pshedelic period imho, and a song I keep returning to.

Reckon this is another example of a 'B' side being better than the 'A' side. Just the kolonel's humble opinion of course............ thanx for posting this gem.

This is a 'B' side and is still better than a lot of songs that got in the charts in the 60s. Reminds me of a lot of the american pyschedelia that we never got to hear. Thank goodness for YT! Actually used to think the PTs were Rolling Stones wanabees, until I heard the SF Sorrow CD and discovered they were a top (undiscovered) pyschedelic band. Loved Parachute too.

@armjos1 The word "awesome" is thrown about so much, so recklessly. But here it fits perfectly. The Pretty Things knew just what the charm of a psychedelic tune was. They never got pointlessly weird; they stayed tuneful and joyful while weirding things up.
