Seeeeeeehr angelehnt an die Version Dietrich Fischer Dieskaus! Eine neben ihm gesungene Version, sehr gute Vorstellung! Aber DFD gefällt mir besser, das Tempo wird nicht immer gedrosselt, ich finde das wirft einen raus beim zuhören.

Es ist doch immer wieder bemerkenswert, wie man über so eine grandiose Interpretation schlecht reden kann.@CelesteGabriel :Es ist ja wohl unabdingbar, den Wolfram mit deutscher Technik zu singen.Es kann von Ihnen keine Kritik der Technik sein, vielleicht eher eine Geschmacksfrage.Da sollte man sich schon etwas besser mit der Gesangstechnik auskennen.

I've always heard him referred to as a very high baritone, though this recording doesn't do much to support that. With whatever sort of voice he has, he does amazingly with what he has here.

I agree with you in terms of him being an excellent interpreter and having brilliant diction, but he is not a "baryton-martin." I would even hesitate in saying that he is a high baritone. His voice is definitely on of dramatic quality, even if he is not called a dramatic baritone (which I think he is).

zu verkrampft zu fest! achtet auf seinen Hals immer den Kopf runter und den Kehlkopf einklemmen. Musikalisch natürlich einfach perfekt. ein großer Künstler wenn er jetz noch locker lassen würde !

Wer hat Wolframs Lied sensibler und feinsinniger gesungen als Trekel? Ich glaube, niemand; Trekels Künstlerpersönlichkeit passt optimal zu Wagners Wolfram-Figur - fast deckungsgleich! - Diese Aufnahme setzt Maßstäbe und lenkt den Fokus endlich einmal ab von Elisabeth oder Tannhäuser ab - lenkt den Fokus endlich einmal auf diese vielleicht schönste aller Bariton-Pariten (siehe auch die anderen Wolfram-'Arien' mit Trekel). Einfach perfekt interpretiert!

You are all ridiculous. Good singing has nothing to do with the country, the house, the production and especially nothing to do with fame. Fame is nothing but being in the right place at the right time. Yes, talent helps but I am sure that there are plenty of lesser-known singers that could sing circles around the "stars" of the opera world.

well, i have attended operas (in Germany) that were very well sung and still boring. so i have to agree that other factors, e.g. those you have mentioned, are important for an interesting evening. however, only if those things AND great singing come together something great can happen.
