Jernbyrd was a way for people back in the really old days to determine whether they had royal blood in them. To successfully carry jernbyrd you'd have to carry a large piece of glowing iron from one place to another (which meant you'd almost burn your fucking hands off) to prove your point, basically, if you were able to carry out this act you had "proof" that you were telling the truth. This song is based off a Norwegian poem from WW2 called Jarnbyrd, written by a Norwegian nationalist.
