OK, note to songwriter. You don't have to keep repeating "It's just the Devil in Me," or pretty much anything in general. Chorus, bridge, hook, riff, and melody, balance it. The hook, most often the songs name, becomes a cliche in and of itself, especially when repeated over and over again, which equals annoying. A good producer would have cut it from the song. After the chorus, it would have been sung once for effect, while the melody and riff would drive the song where it needs to go and leave good space for a proper guitar lead. The singer has a good voice, but in repetition of a lyric borders on annoying. Sing to your strength. Your vocal has a clear and concise melody, but lacks the harmony to pull off a repeated lyric to any effect.This is not said to put down or bash or to discredit the band, this is only constructive criticism.
