I love my ac15c1! doesnt matter if I play my cabronita, a paul or strat on it. specialy in recordingsessions this amp is amazing for blues. excellent in little clubs, for bigger stages or open airs the ac30 makes more sence. with a cool stagemonitoring the ac15 does the same cool job.

Does anyone notice a volume difference between the normal and top boost channel? (Even though you set the volumes equally?) I notice the normal channel is a bit louder...

hey guys, BEFORE YOU BUY THIS AMP, FYI, READ THIS. As a fellow guitar tone enthusiast, i love the vox ac15c1, its so chimey and the smooth breakup of the el84s is nice. the only complaint i have is theres no effects loop. so any effects that you'd normally use after distortion in the signal chain will sound distorted. Thats why im getting the vox night train nt15c1 instead. its a 15 watt ALL TUBE combo WITH an effects loop and footswitchable channels. i did a comparison at a music store between the vox night train nt15c1 g2and the ac15c1, and they sounded exactly the same harmonically. the eq was a little different when set flat but otherwise they sound EXACTLY the same. the night train has the same chimey cleans and smooth distortion. and its only $500 whereas the ac15 is $630. IMHO the ac15 has no advantages over the nt15c1 g2. so just consider the vox night train before you cash out on the ac15. just a thought

I've had this amp from new for 3yrs now. It's always sounded great. One of the stock tubes started to crackle, so I easily swapped them all out for NOS Mullards - warmer tone all round.I get great sound from both my Les Pauls & my Strat. Current favourite boost/overdrive through it is a J Rocket "Archer".Broad range of genres can be played through this amp.I'll never sell it

The C1 has an anemic low end and too much mids and "chime"(too much of a good thing).Without mods the amp was useless to me at live volumes, the upper mids were painful and the low end did not exist.Again-modded closer to vintage AC** specs it can sound nice but stock it's shockingly thin sounding stock.I actually preferred the AC15CC.

I love it so much. I have a vox pathfinder 15r, and my next aquisition is this amazing amplifier. In Brazil, it cost about 1400 dollars.

Great amp, don't listen to the people who will say you HAVE to upgrade the speaker, or get the handwired version. This amp sounds awesome right out of the box.
