To be honest, I think the only similarity between these guys and Meshuggah are that they both use very low-tuned guitars. Volumes uses metalcore riffs, metalcore vocals, and metalcore breakdowns. Meshuggah is more death metal/progressive metal and they're a lot slower. They even give off different vibes, too. Meshuggah makes me think of walking through an ancient temple, Volumes makes me want to jump up and party.
