This is a song I wrote about bullying, sadly it's a subject I know a lot about. If you know someone who is being bullied, send them this song. Writing it helped me, maybe it will help them, too.

LYRICS:

All the evil in the world

Pushing down on you

And all the venom in their words

What could you do?

What kind of ignorance

Causes them to be so,

So sick and vile and evil

You did nothing to them

It's just not fair, you don't deserve it.

It's not your fault

You're innocent

It's the world that's wrong

You're innocent

When they scream and when they yell

And tear you down

They make your life a living hell

When they come 'round

There's nothing you can say

That doesn't contradict them,

'Cause all they want's a victim

On which to vent their rage

It's just not fair, you don't deserve it.

It's not your fault

You're innocent

It's the world that's wrong

You're innocent

Just hold on,

You're innocent

Some day the world will belong

To the innocent

So let's wear black,

Let's blast The Cure and Siouxsie

Then we'll go see

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

And then we'll forget to go home.

It's not your fault

You're innocent

It's the world that's wrong

You're innocent.

Just hold on,

You're innocent.

Some day the world will belong

To the innocent.

Being an atheist in an insanely backwards and religious country (read European Texas) I faced quite a bit of discrimination and, in high school, bulying (mostly verbal though sometimes phisical). Being liberal and kind of fenimen (I'n a guy) also didn't help.

I'm going to find this album... This song really hit close to home when it comes to my childhood. Things are definitely better now, but while wounds heal and scars fade, they don't entirely go away, and sometimes you need a little reminder for yourself that what happened back then isn't your fault. Mr. Voltaire, thank you and your crew for writing such a great song. Lots of love to you guys, and rock on.

This song reminds me of young Ales(my profile pic) the reason why he's evil is because he was bullied in his childhood...

I am an adult victim of daily bullying. I must say, this song really speaks to me, the lyrics are very comforting. Thank you, Voltaire, for being such a good person underneath the spooky demeanor, and thank you for this song.

I love this song greatly. As a transgender bisexual furry goth (geez, that's a mouthful), I have faced a lot of discrimination based on the way I look and act. I was actually driven from my own mother's home while I was living there and I was forced to move in with my dad. It's not always easy to live life the way you want but I always listen to this song when I feel down and remember: It's not my fault. I'm innocent. Thank you Voltaire! <3

Thank you for this song. I truly thank you, recently I've been going through some major hardships and abuse by a stepparent. We had officials help but as usual everyone blamed the victim which in this case was me. Hearing the hushed whispers of those close to me didn't help with any of the trauma I went through but hearing this song makes it all just go away. I cried when I first heard this because it showed me it really isn't my fault. I'm innocent, and for that I thank you
