I think there might as well be god, cuz why not? They say god created human as his own image, and humans are assholes, occasionally kind, sooooo.... yeah~ I don't think believing in god is bad at all, and religions are a good thing. Only thing that's wrong with religions are people \o/ ..loving this song still :D it's lovably catchy and makes good points~

Good on you. There's quite a few unexplained things in the world and science itself that can rationally be explained with science, much more of an intriguing mystery there to be found rather than with a God we will probably never see.

My story is a bit different. I became christian about 2 years ago & so, like with anything, anylized that what was given to me (the Bible). It was just one big contridiction of itself. I talk over my feelings towards it & suddenly realized that I was in the wrong club. 9 times out of 10 being claimed wrong for thinking how I did. So I discussed it with my friend. As a result, we spent hours on end talking about science & so I had found what I was looking for. Questioning & the hunt for awnsers.

That's how I used to be, was born and raised around Christians but as I got an actual developed young adult mind I realized there's not many ways to explain an all-powerful being actually allowing evil in any way if he could just uncorrupt all of humanity with a wave of his hand and have us live in peace and harmony. He's either not the caring God we all know and love, or he doesn't exist.

Ah, very good point. Very good point indeed. Y'see it's funny. I've slowly started to detract from religion more & more as I've gotten deeper & deeper into science (It's more for me, considering my forever growing desire to doubt & question everything), so this argument is a bit... well dated on my end. I'm not actually putting any discredit towards christianity though. I'm ready to believe anything. As long as people give me solid & belivable theories or even facts about it.

God is an all-knowing all-powerful creature, the Devil is literally just a fallen angel, god gave the power he wanted to the angels, and could take it away. He could will the Devil out of existence or counter-act all of the so-called evil. He chooses not to. All of the evil in the world is mandated and goes through a checkpoint called God on whether he wants it to come in or not. If you claim this is not the way it works, then god is not all-powerful or knowing, and is a mortal being.

In "You are all diseased", Carlin talks exactly about how you get an answer to your prayer 50% of the time and how if God is all knowing and all seeing one person's prayer couldn't change that. In this video, from about half, it's almost like you're listening to "Dead" and I'm sure it was part of Voltaire's inspiration: v=6RT6rL2UroE
