Molto simpatici ed espressivi forse qualche nota calante... Ma ultra bravi...

It truly looks like you're having fun on stage, and the audience definitely benefits from that joy! Bravisimo!!!

With a little marketing, these guys could knock Il Divo off their perch, no?

@eggbertshootsfire The Queen of the Night aria is incredibly difficult for sopranos. It is also written for a coloratura and most sopranos are lyrics. The aria is written right at the top of the average soprano's range (A.K.A. It takes years and years to sing those notes correctly and on voice). Also, I'm pretty sure that the flat notes were intentional. This is also a sketch, mind you.

@colorguarddrummajor I didn't realize the point of a vocal competition/performance was to sing poorly in order to make fun of other singers. Thanks for the enlightenment. The rest of it is good, is it so far-fetched to believe that the soprano just can't sing that high?

then they should act it out, so it would be clear it is meant to be off tune!

Besides the fact that it's written in the score, it's not even in the right key so even if she did hit the note cleanly, she wouldn't be singing the Queen's correct note. So this is all a very moot point.

what were the 2 first songs they sang

@corgipawz The whole point of the piece is to spoof Opera and it's singers. They're not doing it to be mean. The point they were CLEARLY trying to make at that point was that most women CAN'T sing the high notes.

@joluciodasilva She is very offkey at that high note. Almost half a note.

@corgipawz: Couldn't agree with you more. There's nothing wrong with not being able to sing something that was intentionally written to be near impossible to sing.

@damienallday1 That's the Flower Duet, I believe.

If you look at the reactions of the others (especially Paul) I think it was intentional - in their other performances I've heard it's sung the same.

if you're going to sing flat on the high notes for the queen of the night aria, DON'T sing it!
