My music director when to John Rutter's workshop this past year and she said that if he was ever want to be remembered for a piece he composed, this would be the one. As for your dad, you definitely should be proud for him. He brought out the best parts of the cello and was amazing. Can't wait to watch it again.

I think the sound is off a little. The cellist's bow is also off some of the time.

I got hired to play the solo cello part for this and was skeptical, but after hearing this I'm really excited about it.

This song is so beautiful! We're performing it at Highland Community College in Highland KS on Wednesday the 8th of December, 2010. Many thanks to the one who posted this on here. :)

Words cannot begin to explain how moving this is. My choir is singing this for our Christmas Cantata in a few weeks, and I have the solo for this, and being able to put the love and emotion in this and very touching. I love this song now.

This is such a beautiful piece. I literally teared up when we sang it for the first time.
