@Lucsiferu .I'll always have a soft spot for Dechristianize since i was so big on it when i was first getting into Death Metal.Icons Of Evil is,on the other hand,is just watered down, wanky shred music disguised as Death Metal.I don't really get the euphoria,i find the atmosphere gets raped by the overly clean production and lack of song dynamics.And the sinister but mystical atmosphere gets replaced by to much heavy metal esq-lead work.More so on Icons,Dechristianize was starting to though.

@fuckmehardersideways well, if you would rather listen to this album because dechristianize and icons have "almost the exact same structure" then go ahead..But dechrstianize and icons create an entirely different atmosphere and generate a different, better euphoria when listening that just fucking rapes anything holy

@Chips185 Dechristianize got me into this band but my biggest issue with it is that every song could of been cut in half and it would of barely made a differance.Every song has almost the exact same structure and after the "epic lead" part the song just starts near the beggining and cycles through the riffs in the same order as before.The album should of been half the length it was,great riffs and vocal performance though.

@fuckmehardersideways i didnt like icons of evil either for similar reasons but dechristianize was superb, cant deny that. even glen benton didnt want to do the yngwie cover song, tony said that himself in a interview.

@Lucsiferu The fact that it's retardedly repetitive,focusses way to much on the guitarist showing off the fact that he sat in his moms basement listening to Yngwie Malmsteen records for 10 years.And the lack of decent riffs or interesting drumming are all good reasons why old Vital Remains owns garbage like Icons Of Evil.
