It would only be a slight exaggeration to call it narratively incoherent. It's basically composed of romantic and chivalric tableaux, designed to tug on the heartstrings with breathless escapes, unrequited love, epic battles, tragic deaths, long distances, megalomaniacal expositions of fate and destiny, and this music. The main character is torn between loving a peerless tragic beautiful exiled knight and a brooding exiled tragic king angel who rides a dragon/jet/giant robot. I shit you not.
