One of the best songs Frank ever recorded!

This is a beautiful song and a well-done version. Many thanks to you for sharing. To me, Billie Holiday is better able to balance the bliss of the "spring" with the utter misery of knowing, in hindsight, that this spring lasted only "a while, remember". I highly recommend her version, but I am thankful to you for sharing this version, too. I could never dislike Sinatra. I find his version of "Glad to Be Unhappy" better than Billie Holiday's, so I know that they are both necessary parts of American culture. Different strokes for different folks; I am just so happy there are people like you dedicated to spreading beautiful music. Thanks again.

All the tunes in the album: "Songs For Young Lovers" were arranged by George Siravo--except "Like Someone In Love"--which is the only tune arranged by Nelson Riddle. He did conduct the session for all the songs--but please give credit to the real arranger. It was a wonderful album!

Used to play this song all the time when I was a kid. (My Dad's 78's) I haven't thought of it for years. It popped into my head watching a Donna Reed rerun on Youtube. Weird

Well-designed tune & lyrics but it sounds pretty dated, now. Women don't wear furs much anymore. Should be: "I Bought You Violets for your Down-filled Jacket". Sinatra makes the most of this with Nelson Riddle's arrangement but this is 1950's, without a doubt. I love the old standards but life goes on.
