The story goes... Vinnie & Robert were friends. Vinnie had a demo tape of this outrageous singer he wanted, but he'd lost the contact info. Fleischman recorded the album because he was crazy talented and a friend, but not EXACTLY what Vinnie wanted. Also, Robert didn't want to be permanent/had other musical persuits of his own. Vocals were never replaced. Chrysalis wouldn't have spend the funds to remaster a new act. Eventually, Vinnie found the contact info and Slaughter joined.
