@weeardguy I worked on various Music Video's, covers for albums, commercials and website, so more general. But I've switched industries later on. In the games industry now. I was in it for animation and those computer-effects. I still enjoy it.

@weeardguy General graphical stuff, namely animation. Moved on over to the game industry. Today's music industry, especially music video, is not that interesting. Nothing really new, just same old, same old. We also did the music video for Sat-R-Day song "Shorty", that was hell. Getting to work on Between II Fires was a bliss, we had so much fun creating that.

@weeardguy You are correct, it was 1999, I talked with one the tech guys recently, he helped us out with the rendering machines. He also confirmed it was 1999.

@OddshapeShifter My recordings with this song (on cassette, I'm getting old) originate from radio 538, around the change of the millenium, as it was in the Tip-parade at that time (a shame that it never made it into the top 40) so it's probably made in 1999.

It's been on TV, The Music Factory (almost the same as MTV) and maybe a local channel called AT5. Between II Fires was made before FlyAway, I'm guessing 1998 - 1999, so FlyAway is most likely from 2000, maybe early 2001.

I recall the animators crawling around on all fours like the lizard-like aliens to figure out to how to make them move more realistic like, that was hilarious.

Don't know why MV's have gone down the drain, maybe because they try to hard to be like blockbuster movies on a budget that's nowhere near enough with even a shorter development time it's prone to be less good. I think for this one the team who worked on it really enjoyed working on it, they even hired extra people to help out and we'd pull very long days and all-nighters getting this to be finished, at the same time we where doing other projects as well, very hard work but very enjoyable.

I like that 3D-Video clips. I didnt see this Clip ever in TV? I saw "FlyAway" this year for the first time in TV and it is from year 2000? I think that was a hard work to made it, OddShapeShifter! Very good video, why the clips today are so bad? Best track from Vincent de Moor for me is "Orion City"!

If you knew the budget and time frame this music video was made than you'd really understand. I worked on this music video as an intern, I did all the 2D animation, was made with the first version of Flash, along with another intern, it was done at a company called Hectic Illusion based in Amsterdam (Prins Hendrik kade) which closed shop a LONG time ago. The 3D was done with 2 different programs, 3D studio Max and Lightwave and all was mixed with Adobe After Effects at the end.

Yeah, I admire someone who tries to do it all himself (W Blake), but if you're not very good at animation, I think you'd be better off leaving it to someone else. Credit to him for trying, but in my opinion it's just a pretty weak vid overall. Agree with Amadeus as well.

The graphics are by Vincent as well. You gotta realize it's an old video and this is just his style. And I for one love it !!
