In my personal opion, a great and underrated band who deserve more recognition. Unfortunately, they only ever released this album. The lead singer Maple Bee went to work in the electronic threesome Huski whom are also awesome.

As someone who was disappointed by both "Home" and most of the Ruby Throat stuff, I can't help feeling that both Garsides are only really compelling when they're primal-screaming, reliving their horrors and channeling them into music. Which is why, for now, the Vertigo Angels album remains, arguably, "Maplebee"'s most important work.Related Videos
