Absolutely beautiful! I loved this song way back then and still do. I think she sounds beautiful. I think her voice is beautiful and she uses it how it can be used. It fits this song and this song fits her. I loved many of her songs after Vanity 6 and still own the albums. She may not be able to belt it out like Etta James but she doesn't try to either, and this isn't that kind of song. I can't think of another female singers voice or style that would fit this song. There's room for all types of singers and songs in this world. If everyone sounded the same, music would suck.

I never thought that she was a great singer matter fact I do not think she can still sing today. Where vanity or Denise Matthews missed her calling was acting she was a very talented actor and that attribute of hers never got developed I think that's a shame.
