When this was released in the summer of 1967 along with Pepper and so much more great music from that year, I was a 14 year old garage band drummer and when we first heard "You Keep Me Hangin' On" and "Ticket to Ride", it was like another musical universe had opened up. For that entire summer, Vanilla Fudge was "IT".and we did nothing but attempt to emmulate this wonderful new creative bridge. Damn, youth lasts such a short time and I recall never having been happier than was I during that summer when all we thought about was trying to be the best band in the region and weren't even thinking about the fact that in a few short months, we would be grown up sophomores, real high school students!
