@47cardinal You are so right, and I really see where millie12345679 is coming from too. The "Heroes and Thieves" album was simply amazing. This song in particular is a lyrical masterpiece and it's great piano-driven rock in the vein of classics like Patti Smith Band's "Because the Night."

@47cardinal Dude, I totally agree with you, but the thing is, most people don't have the capacity to listen to anything but dance music. Heroes and Thieves was great, and yeah maybe it wasn't marketed very well. But she had practically no assistance from her record company in marketing for Harmonium, and because of that, she sort of went off the map. She never really had a big hit after a Thousand Miles either, so...

this song should have been a radio single; it would have charted high ! I'm hoping vanessa has hired a better manager / rep now to work with radio / online / iTunes / target / starbucks / wherever to get her the exposure that "heroes and thieves" didn't ... someone just let that '07 album tank, through no fault of vanessa's ... can't wait for the new CD ... heard it'll be out soon. if you see this, vanessa, wishing all the best of things for you in your music and your life. -- el paso TX admirer

I thought I'd mention it, too. My friend made me listen to Annie and White Houses and forced me to learn them, even if I did stop piano for 4 years. So, all in all, she inspired me to begin piano again. I have now moved onto instrumentals by Nobuo Uematsu and Joe Hisaishi and Classical, but her pieces never cease to resound. :) I still play Home, Papa, ATM, Who's To Say - and now London, and Waltz. :D
