Saw this show.. in Winnipeg. Same tour. Only time I ever saw Halen live.. I was 17 at the time. They were way too loud for the building. I used to listen to this song multiple times a day and they opened with it yet it took till the interlude ( come on dave,),, before I realized what I was listening too. The whole 2 hrs was a just a blur of noise. I was really let down by that. Maybe it sounded better in other parts of the arena but not where I was sitting. That said Eddie will always be the King to me and the dude that made me wanna be a guitarist. What I experienced at that show never took away from my opinion of him as a musician. I just blame the building.. they packed way too much wattage and power for that building to properly deal with. EVH Rocks.

there was nothing better than a live Van Halen show in the Roth years! Saw a few of the shows with Sammy and he did great with them but the power of the mighty Van Halen from the early years was UNREAL!...

Van Halen is one of my favorite bands, but DRL never had a great singing voice. Very small range and with years of partying and smoking he destroyed what he had.

I saw VH live for Fair Warning, Diver Down and 1984... one show with Hagar, then quit bothering lol. I liked VH live because they played reasonably loud, not enough to destroy your hearing. Yeah about the tempo, much quicker than the LP.
