EVH got Allan Holdsworth a record deal (resulting in "Metal Fatigue") and to return the favor Holdsworth got Steinberger to build Eddie a Guitar with Eddie's stripe motiv. Eddie was quite smitten with the transtrem system which is used to very good effect on this song I should add. But didn't like the small body.

Watch Van Halen then and now it makes me sad. 5150 and Peter Gabriel's album So were the best albums of 1986, must've been a hell of a year.
