It seemed like in my high school, 1980-84, that Van Halen was the ONE band everyone dug(jocks, geeks, punks, cheerleaders, thrash metal heads, feminist chicks, 4-H farm kids, black kids, preps, psychos, etc.) and could REALLY get into....EVERYBODY. I don't think I have EVER heard anyone say anything bad about Roth-era Van Halen....EVERThink about it?....have you?
