If you really watch the video, everyone is jamming hard but Dave misses severe lines and is more into himself than the song. Watch how he hams it up when he knows he's on camera. Meanwhile the rest of the band are sticking to the song. I like VH but if dave had it his way, it would be The Roth band

Van Halen with Hagar was good in it's own way, but THIS is iconic, historic (whatever you want to call it) Van Halen - it was a package deal, Roth's personality and gravely voice, Mike's AWESOME backing vocals, and of course the brothers Van Halen doing what they do so well. Being a teen in the early 80s, I consider myself lucky to have this music as some of my earliest taste of rock music.

That ending is so iconic to me. I remember I watched this video a lot when I first started playing and always freakin loved that ending. So much better than the lame fadeout on the album. Freakin epic ending.
