Gary Cherone was a better singer with Van Halen than he was given credit for being. I just felt he never got a chance to establish his identity with this group. Screamed too much. Trying to sound like Sammy Hagar. Better at the DLR stuff.

If only they would have had a great Bass player and MINIMAL SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROBLEMS .....then they could have been better than Rush and Pink Floyd ,etc, etc. Still had one of the best Guitarists and drummers of all time.
