With the exception of Dirty Desire, Poppin, and on and on, I actually really think she was a solid R&B singer. The three songs i mentioned first though are trash to me. She really was good at it. Anyone who is going to say she should stick to Japanese music is probably just being dramatic or restricted by their weeabo desires. She isn't just Japanese. For god sake, she grew up in NYC. She just needs to not fall into the trend of shit top 40 pop that us in the states are trapped with. I think This Is The One is one of my favorite albums from her.

I dont understand the comments. I thought the song is about how the guy is easy-breezy, jumping from girl to girl and leaving her alone, heart broken and feeling angry at his easy attitude while, she was taking the relationship seriously. Thus she feels betrayed when she realised they were just too diffenent in how they viewed relationships

I think the song is about the sexualization of asian women. Her issue with being viewed as only an object to him and how it disgusted her. So she left him and went to a vibrator (microphone). I also think Japaneasy is meant to be Jap and Easy..but who knows. Anywho, I just want some good club music from her. She needs to pull some dance #1s in the states again.

What I'm getting from the meaning of this song. She fell in low with a non-Japanese guy. And he thought because she's Asian that she was easy. But what the guy doesn't realize is she's a woman with feelings and shouldn't be hurt like that. So she moved on and found a new microphone.. a better guy that appreciates her.
