The original version from the 'Chapter & Verse - The Uriah Heep Story (35th Anniversary Collection)' Album, released in 2005.

This was a demo maked for the 'Look at yourself' Album, but, shorter left..And i think Why...

This version it's a little bit more funky than the 11.08 min, version. Both of that are great. Enjoy it!.

Mick Jagger once said " Paul Rodgers has the best voice in Rock'n Roll", but I think he's mistaken. It was David Byron.

This is the second recording of Why that was the B-side of "The Wizard" single. And that is Mark Clarke on the bass....Mark was in the band long enough to cut the single...and that is Mark singing the bridge vocal on "The Wizard"...David Byron felt it was too high for him to sing. The 11;00 version with Paul Newton on bass and (probably) Iain Clarke on drums was recorded around the time of "Look At Yourself"

@1MrErling I totally agree, Paul Newton sadly seems to be a forgotten part of Uriah Heep.Check out the song Simon The Bullet Freak from the Salisbury album.

@devilsreject70 Newton is a wonderfull bassist. I love Garry's bassplay as well, but in this song, Paul is more then outstanding
