Already in the day I realized that Black Zepelin etc. can´t touch these guys on record. Those outfits lacked magic. This live came 1973 and confirmed they were fantastic, the recording quality wasn´t the best of standard of the day though. Critics tried to diminish them again but we kids laughed at those vitun critics bought their records ! No artist whosoever in history of Rock couldn´t surpass their "Rock ´n´ Roll Medley" and especially Gary Thain and his superb fluid melodic bass lines.

Maybe not as good as Zepplin but overall I liked all of the songs better than Black Sabbath. Great band. I am 58 now and when I listen to the live songs I wonder what I was doing when they were playing those. Hell of a rush.

Sorry to compare them with Ked Zeppelin or Black Sabath, I think you can't compare to them, I would compare and put them above even Deep Purple! Such good musicians, lookin for perfection and still rolling!

Saw these guys in '73, awesome concert. Owned their Live album and I'm surprised the needle on my turntable didn't cut through the vinyl. Uriah Heep and Deep Purple were my two favorite bands. May David Byron and Barry Thain rest in peace.
