Dave Byron was iconic. One of the most under rated metal bands.

This is so freakin' awesome.. No spotlights , no lasers , no fog , no pyrotechnics..just the epic majesty of the mighty Uriah Heep blowing the audience away as usual . Great rare video with above average photography...pretty impressive for ' 72 . Gary Thain was one of the best bass guitarists ever ! Thanx Heeps for this experience !! Rage on Heepsters !!!!!!

This is the most ambitious piece of rock ever created. Beats even Bohemian Rhapsody, for me, anyway.

I'm with wiggindesign on this one. After about '73 nothing much new really happened. I was lucky that I was a kid around the late 60's early 70's and experienced the excitement every time a new LP came out from these colossal bands. Heep was one of them. But then again maybe i'm just a nostalgic dinosaur. BTW the sound mix in this video highlights what a great player Thain was. The band never really recoverd from his ( and Byron's) loss.

What memories!!!! After Uriah Heep, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Captain Beyond,(OK let's add Deep Purple)....I just can't get into most or any Heavy Metal or Hard Rock Bands that came out afterwards....I was done with it after it became so commercial, unimaginative and repetitive. Maybe it's just moving on to newer sounds as I matured but I sttill have a big soft spot for the Heep

If you Heep fans get a chance to hear the latest from Uriah Heep you won't be disappointed. It;s called " Wake The Sleeper". It's the best since "Sweet Freedom".

Was this on the "Demons and Wizards" tour or the "Magician's Birthday" tour? Gary Thain was definitely at his prime in this interview
