I would really love to know details of what happened to this band.around 1992 I worked in a bingo hall around hallendale /hollywood FL border beside a MiamiSub, I met an older-ish regular and I asked her whats up with the shirt. She said it was her sons band. Is this true? Sister Havana was my theme song of life for a yr. Still rocks would love to know the truth

Blackie O really owns as a drummer. He reminds me of Bill Ward's playing in Black Sabbath, just right on point with the right amount of swing

UO were screwed by the success of "Saturation." Take it out of the timeline, and the progression from "Supersonic Storybook" to 'Stull" to "Exit the Dragon" makes perfect sense. Unfortunately, the enigma, "Saturation", was the mega hit.

Take Urge over the rather derivative and overhyped, particularly by themselves, Smashing Pumpkins any day. Oh and I am not from Chicago.

This is Urge Overkill's " Chinatown." That is, Urge Overkill-"Exit The Dragon"-1995=Thin Lizzy-"Chinatown"-1980. The Break SHOUL HAVE BEEN TRACK 1! Song FREAKIN' KICKS ASS!!!! "This Is The Break, Break It"-Eddie"King" Roeser. BEST Alt/Grunge BAND this side of Nirvana/Alice In Chains/Faith No More.

Pumpkins had their moments, but I never had an "urge" to see them live. When I finally got to see UO live, I got to drink beer with them and see a fantastic show. Got a feelin' Billy wouldn't have been so friendly...

@mpaulrealty Totally agree...Exit was Exile for UO.

@jodysoldman Sorry to break it to you, holmes...but this band will never be known for anything. The Smashing Pumpkins crushed any dreams these guys ever had of making it big outside of Chicago.

@decristo because this is trash that you could put together in a day of fucking around if you really wanted to. it is absolutely tasteless and talentless and i can't fucking believe people find this listenable.

@decristo1021 This is a great band if you are okay with being bored while you are listening to it.

@leokearse True. They should have sold ten mill not Pearl Jam. In my alternate universe, Urge Overwill and Material Issue were the Pearl Jam and Nirvana of 1991 thru 94.

@toemasie Well put. That sums it up in one sentence. And ever since Nirvan hit the scene over 20 years ago, this style of rock and roll is just a niche for people like us...
