I just played my copy of A Bomb Bop and I agree, this could be Mike Fern. Memphis is only a few hours from Louisianna. A lot of artists made the trip to Mamphis to get their recordings noticed. Any singer or group living in the South could have easily made the trip. Bill Kilgore

only 500 songs? Well that's too bad, because that's mean I've heard all Rockabilly songs ever, and... apparently, some more, lol... Keep rockin'!

How about Tommy Blake, early '58? I hear similarities in the sound of his band at that time and this one. It could be his voice trying a Billy Lee Riley/ Little Richard/ Eddie Cochran style,...

I would venture to say that this is ROBBY GORDON, of Sam Phillips and Robert Gordon, Robert Gordon and Link Ray did lots of stuff together. Check out some Robert Gordon on the tube

Secret Rockabilly formula: (Bar of Soap, Dallas.) 1. Get a Tattoo 2. Get a Haircut 3. Count to four. 4. Repeat.

This is Rockabilly at it's best, well almost. I can't believe the lyrics of this song and it isn't exactly a novelty song like "Abduls Party, Alley Opp or My Boomerang Won't Come Back". No this actually leans on sexual if you ask me and I love it! I love this "Little Red Rooster". so much so that it has to be in my Top 100 Rockabilly songs...and that's saying alot figuring that there are at least 500 songs that can identified as Rockabilly. I grew up with the mainstream R&R. Thx
