Uncle Earl is an all female American folk group who have become more and more popular over the years. The band has also grown in numbers starting from three to now about five. This is their version of The Blackest Crow, which is one of my favorites due to the emphasis on strings. If you would like to learn more about them here is a UK article: http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2007/nov/02/folk

I believe its Tahmineh Gueramy, an excellent fiddler. She is singing and playing in Austin, Texas now. She filled in for us (Nobody's Darlin') when our fiddler couldn't play for a gig in Detroit one time and we had a great show!

Oops, it has already been posted- it is O'Brien's version- search 'O'Brien' and the 'Blackest Crow.' The lyrics are a bit longer.

Thanks for letting me know- it made me smile. Glad you enjoy this version- I think it is one of the nicest I have heard. In a few weeks I can put up another version of this song- so keep your eyes open- the lyrics will slightly vary..
