U2 "Zooropa" guitar lesson. The next "Riff of the Day" uses not one, but two Boss DD-7 Digital Delays plus a ZVex Super Seek Wah to recreate the spaced out sounds from The Edge. By setting one delay for 1/8th notes and the other dotted 1/8th, you can achieve the same complex rhythm with very sparse playing. The wah sound locking into the tempo is crucial in recreating Zooropa's "bubbling" quality so the new Super Seek Wah with Tap Tempo is a must. The Edge also tunes a half step below (Eb) to give the root note a heavier sound. Enjoy your Riff of the Day guitar lesson!

I love U2 even more after hearing this song! Dear Andy I wanted to say that I love your channel! How do you set the delays to dotted 1/8 notes or normal 1/8 notes. Some suggestions are stairway to heaven, Purple haze, Eruption, Ain't talkin bout love. Please do tutorials on songs with alternate turnings. Also the rain song. What are some songs that use double drop D1 tuning? And what songs use drop D-E tuning? Can you show us some songs that use dadad tuning. Hi !! Amazing sound !! :) That´s why I love the Edge. Anyway, I am not totally sure Edge uses two delays... you can get that sound just simply with classic Tremolo effect, using a hard wave.But maybe two delays are used only for the live version. Anyway thanks a lot for your lesson :)10 years ago
